At Adlem & Kemp we undertake all aspects of the residential and commercial architectural design process throughout Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire, first taking the initial thoughts and desires of the client and progressing the project through to obtaining the appropriate planning permission and all other necessary statutory approvals.

The process usually starts with a site meeting at the property or land, where we discuss the client’s requirements and create a wish list. We discuss how they would like to use the property, taking into consideration the neighbour’s, surrounding landscape, environment, and local vernacular.

To assist in the visualization of the project, we undertake sketch proposals (if required) to assist in further discussions.

Once agreed, 2D detailed drawings are produced, illustrating the existing and proposals so far, and discussed again until the client is fully satisfied with the overall design.

3D coloured drawings can be produced which gives a true aspect of the finished project in relationship to its surroundings & landscape.

Once the plans have been agreed with the client, they are then submitted to the local council for planning approval.
